Twenty seconds into the 2nd period the Clippers added to their lead when Isaac Grondin scored his second goal of the night. The goal came on the tail end of a power play where Gorham was trying to kill off a 5-minute major penalty from a boarding call late in the 1st. The Clippers played strong and limited the Rams’ offensive chances the remainder of the game. When Gorham did apply pressure, Charles Henry Watson was steady and confident in net giving up few rebounds and denying the Rams any opportunity to climb back into the game. Charles Henry achieved his 4th shutout of the season, even though the Rams outshot the Clippers 28 to 26 for the match.
